Dulles Airport Main Terminal APM

The Main Terminal Automated People Mover (APM) Station will serve as an entry and exit portal to the airport’s 5½ mile underground transportation system. The station, which is all underground construction, includes two 50,000sf column free mezzanines for passenger security screening, a 46,750sf central station, and crossovers at the east and west station ends. Passenger direction and flow were critical design issues.
