JetBlue Terminal 5

The new 625,000sf terminal, designed by Gensler for JetBlue Airways, is located at JFK Airport in New York. The curved roof responds to its unique location near Eero Saarinen/Ammann & Whitney's historic TWA terminal. 26 gates serve 20 million passengers each year. The $550 million project included a 750-foot elevated roadway, a pedestrian connection bridge to the AirTrain System and two pedestrian connection tubes to the historic TWA terminal. Passengers are entertained by a ring of video monitors suspended overhead. The digital display is used for a number of communications including promotional, passenger or and flight information, and videos and graphics.
