Dragon Bridge
Winner of an international design competition, the firm provided the architectural and structural design for the 1,000 meter, multi-arch bridge located in Da Nang, Vietnam. When completed in 2013, the bridge will serve as a link for tourists between the local airport and the beach. Beginning at the historic Cham Museum Square and spanning the Han River before connecting with a boulevard that runs to the shoreline, the bridge was nicknamed the Dragon Bridge by the people of Da Nang for its resemblance to the mythical creature that is so highly revered in the culture of the Vietnamese people. The firm provided full architectural and engineering design of the bridge and roadways, and urban design of the public plazas and squares on either side of the bridge.
